Synopsis

Ces instants précieux à la fin de notre existence peuvent avoir autant de significations que les êtres humains qui les vivent. Mais pour la plupart d'entre nous, ils sont généralement un miroir de notre vie passée, ajoutez l'effroi et une profonde anxiété pour l'inconnu à venir ..... Parfois un ange vient nous rendre visite pour cette transformation finale. Lorsqu'un homme mourant confie enfin son âme à Dieu, cette visite céleste semble si réelle. L'ange peut-il lui offrir des paroles de paix?

Notes du réalisateur

Le grand poète américain Kenneth Fearing a écrit le livre POEMS en 1936. Le texte ici n'est qu'un des textes magnifiques qu'il contient. J'ai précisément choisi celui-ci parce qu'il traite de la fin d'un homme, transformé par une société moderne et laide autour de lui. L'ange n'est pas vraiment tendre envers son protégé mais il lui apporte la paix et la promesse de la vie éternelle.

Synopsis

Those precious instants at the end of our existence can have as many meanings as human beings living them. But for most of us, they are generally a mirror of our past life, added with fright and deep anxiety for the coming unknown.....Sometimes an angel comes to visit us for this final transformation. When a dying man finally trusts his soul to God, this heavenly visit seems so real. Can the angel offer words of peace?

Notes from the director

The great American poet Kenneth Fearing wrote the book POEMS in 1936. The text here is but only one of the magnificent texts in it. I precisely chose this one because it deals with the end of one man transformed by an ugly modern society around him. The angel is not really tender to his protégé but he does bring him peace and the promise of eternal life.
